Catlin’s Jubilee Jamboree
June 21, 2012
With bunting adorning the restaurant and no wet weather to spoil the fun, Catlin’s indoor street party to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s sixty years on the throne, was a veritable feast of cakes, quiche and kitsch.
The kitchen went to town, producing yards of sausage rolls, finger sandwiches, Victoria sponges, scones and Bakewell tarts, all served up on Union Jack paper plates. There were even Jubilee cupcakes decorated with photos of Her Majesty and it was all washed down with lashings of homemade lemonade. Three cheers for Queen Elizabeth!
