Chicheley Chef Makes his Mark

Congratulations to Terry Pritchard, head chef at Chicheley Hall, who came second in the finals of the Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards Chef of the Year competition. The awards were presented at a glitzy ceremony on May 13th and honoured the very best food and leisure venues in the region.
The finalists cooked their three course menus for a panel of expert judges on April 23rd and then had to wait until the awards evening to find out how they had performed. Terry’s menu of smoked salmon pavé with a pea, shallot and fennel salad, followed by ballotine of rabbit, truffled potato purée and confit rabbit leg, with a pudding of coconut and raspberry charlotte russe wowed the judges, but in the end he was just pipped to the post by Mark Austin from local gastro pub, The Swan. Better luck next year Terry!
